- Go to ChatGPT and sign in.
- Click the plus button > Shopping Research > enable
- Describe what you're looking for in a prompt
Sample Prompt: “I want to buy a laptop under $1,000 for home and content creation. Prioritize performance (I have a lot of tabs open simultaneously), battery life, and build quality. Compare the best current deals across major retailers, explain the trade-offs between options, and recommend the best overall pick with 2 strong alternatives.”
- Answer follow-up questions about your budget, specs, preferences, and how you’ll use the product.
- Review the results and choose your best option, click through to the retailer, and complete your purchase
